BioBiz Team ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BioBiz mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

When you create an account or use the App, we may collect the following information:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Company name
• Job title
• Profile photo
• Company logo

When you scan or receive business cards through QR codes, we store the contact information contained on those cards in your account.

When you use the AI Notetaker feature, the App records audio with your permission. Audio recordings are sent to the Groq Whisper API for transcription. The resulting transcription text is stored in your account. We do not retain raw audio recordings after transcription is complete.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Generate and display your digital business card
• Enable card sharing via QR codes
• Store contacts you collect from scanned cards
• Transcribe audio recordings through the AI Notetaker feature
• Communicate with you about your account or the service

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides authentication and database services. Supabase uses industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — for user authentication and database storage
• Groq Whisper API — for audio transcription in the AI Notetaker feature

These services process data only as necessary to provide their functionality. We do not use any analytics or tracking SDKs in the App.

5. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. Your data is shared only with the third-party services listed above, solely for the purpose of providing the App's features.

6. QR Code Sharing

When you share your digital business card via QR code, the information on your card becomes visible to the person who scans it. You control what information appears on your card.

7. Audio Recording and Transcription

The AI Notetaker feature requires microphone access, which you must explicitly grant. Audio is recorded only when you actively initiate a recording session. Recordings are transmitted to the Groq Whisper API for transcription and are not stored by us after processing. Transcription text is saved to your account for your reference.

8. Your Rights

You may:

• Access, update, or correct your personal information through the App
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
• Revoke microphone permissions through your device settings at any time

9. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App, and the effective date at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
